Jen decided to become a vet as she wanted to make things better for the animals – involving both surgery and medicine. She also wanted to work with both animals and people. After graduating she worked for 2 years in Tasmania before locuming in Western Australia for a year. She then came back to Tassie and started at NHVH in 1996.

When she gets a bit of time off from being a vet Jen likes to get out in her garden or go fishing.  At Christmas time in 2009 Jen's family was joined by Callum, the three legged kitten who has grown into a beautiful cat who thinks he runs the house!
