Qualifications:

• Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing
• Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Surgical)

Cassie started work at NHVH in 2001 after previously being a bakery assistant in Burnie. She has always had a love for animals and decided in Primary School that she was going to work with animals when she “grew up”. In 2008 Cassie completed her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Surgical), becoming the first veterinary nurse in Tasmania to do so.

At home she has two dwarf lop bunnies named Earnie and Bertie who love to escape their hutch and then do their best to make it difficult for her to catch them! Luckily she keeps fit for rabbit wrangling by playing netball and going to the gym.  A recent addition to Cassie's family is Jimi the Smithfield.  This cute fella is certainly making Cassie appreciate her nice quiet bunnies so much more!
