DR ANDREW TURNER
BVSc (Hons), MACVSc (Equine Surgery), FACVSc (Veterinary Ophthalmology)
 
Dr Andrew Turner travels to Tasmania approximately every 6 weeks to offer his services in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries in animals.
 
Andrew graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 1973. In 1988, after working in mixed and equine practice for 20 years, Andrew became a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Equine Surgery.
 
In 1994 Andrew commenced a residency program in Veterinary Ophthalmology with Dr Rowan Blogg, the founder of Veterinary Ophthalmology in Australia.  In 1997, Andrew became a Fellow of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Veterinary Ophthalmology.
 
Andrew is a partner in All Animal Eye Services - a clinic dedicated solely to Veterinary Ophthalmology.  In addition, Andrew is a registered Veterinary specialist in the discipline of Ophthalmology, has presented scientific papers overseas and published peer reviewed scientific papers in Australian and international Veterinary journals.

DR SARAH GOLDSMID
BVSc, MVetClinStud, FACVSc
 
Dr Sarah Goldsmid has been running a referral service here at NHVH since 1994, coming to Hobart to offer her specialist opinion on surgical cases.
 
After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1986, Sarah worked in small animal practice in the Blue Mountains. She returned to the University of Sydney to complete a residency in Small Animal Surgery and a Masters degree.
 
Following the residency, Sarah was Senior Registrar at the University of Sydney 1991-1995. From 1996-1998, Sarah was a consulting specialist to the University Veterinary Centre, Camden.
 
Sarah gained Membership in 1993 and then Fellowship of the Australian college of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Surgery in 1996. Sarah is one of the co-founders and directors of the Animal Referral Hospital, Sydney, where she now works. She is also a Director here at NHVH.
 
Her interests include all areas of small animal surgery - soft tissue, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, oncologic and reconstructive surgery.
 
 
 
DR DAVID ROBSON
BVSc (Hons), MACVSc (small animal surgery), FACVSc (dermatology)
 
Dr David Robson travels to NHVH monthly to conduct dermatology consultations.
 
David graduated from the University of Queensland with honours in 1992 and spent almost seven years in general small animal practice in Brisbane.  He moved to Melbourne in late 1999 to commence his residency in Veterinary Dermatology at the Animal Skin, Ear and Allergy Service (now part of MVSC).  He attained Fellowship of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 2005.
 
David has lectured in Australia and overseas (New Zealand, United States, Hong Kong, Austria) and has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific articles.  He is currently based at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre in Victoria.
 
His current professional interests include pollens and pollen allergies, ear cleaners, otic (ear) culture and sensitivities.
